Building Trust-Fueled Systems for Real-World Learning
Unlocking Youth Potential
Turbare Collaborative is a national consulting practice led by Christopher Nesmith, a superintendent, systems designer, and national thought leader in educational transformation. We help districts, communities, and workforce partners stir stagnant systems—not for disruption's sake, but to align people, purpose, and pathways that empower every learner.

Our Mission
To build trust-centered education systems that connect schools, employers, and communities—ensuring every student graduates ready for career, college, and life.
Our Story
Turbare Collaborative was born from the belief that true transformation doesn’t come from prepackaged programs—it comes from courageous conversations, trustful partnerships, and systems designed with and for the people they serve.
Founded by Christopher Nesmith, a career educator and superintendent with over two decades of experience in rural, urban, and statewide systems, Turbare emerged from years of hands-on work in redesigning CTE pathways, launching youth apprenticeships, aligning early learning ecosystems, and building mastery-based models. The name "Turbare"—Latin for "to stir"—captures the heart of our work: stirring systems that have settled into inequity, fragmentation, or inertia.
What started as a superintendent’s response to misaligned systems has grown into a national model for bold, community-driven alignment—proving that when we build with trust, we build systems that last.
Testimonials
In less than a year, Chris Nesmith was able to develop partnerships with local businesses in Elma and offer Registered Apprenticeship opportunities for his students. If Chris can do this work in a small town in Washington State, educators across the nation can provide these same opportunities for their students in their local communities.
